The first branch of Kekik Restaurant, a long-established local business on one of Istanbul’s busiest streets, was realized at Emaar Square Mall. The aim of the project was to introduce a new concept for the brand while creating a functional space suited to high customer traffic. The existing space was divided by a structural column positioned along the façade. Rather than treating this as a limitation, the design organizes the interior into two distinct yet cohesive areas: an airy café with high ceilings and a calm, welcoming restaurant with a warm atmosphere. Despite their different functions and characters, the two spaces are designed to maintain a sense of spatial continuity.
